iOS app development services from a studio with 8 apps of its own in the App Store.

MediaVikings offers iOS app development services from idea validation to App Store launch and growth. Building the app is the easy part. Review, monetization and downloads are the hard part, and we have been through all of it with our own apps, eight times.

Who it's for

An iOS app development company for people who want users, not just code.

Most agencies hand over an app and move on. We have 8 of our own in the App Store, and we know what happens after the handover: the review rejections, the paywall that does not convert, the launch week with no downloads. That experience is what you pay for.

We work best with three kinds of clients:

  • Founders with an app idea who want a partner from validation to the first paying users, not just a developer who builds a spec.
  • Businesses that need an iPhone app for their customers and want it to feel like a real product, not a website squeezed into an app.
  • App owners who are stuck after launch, with an app that works but does not grow, and who need help with ASO, monetization and marketing.

MediaVikings is a small studio in Denmark. You work directly with the person who designs and builds your app, and we work remotely with clients in the US, UK and Europe.

The phases

Every phase of iPhone app development. Including the ones nobody talks about.

You can bring us in for the whole journey or for the phases you need. Most clients start with validation, because it is the cheapest place to find out an idea needs to change.

  1. Idea validation & market research

Before anything is built: is there a market? We research the category and the competition. Who owns it in the App Store, how do they make money, and where is the gap your app can fill?

  2. Wireframes & UI/UX

From flows on paper to finished design. Wireframes, user journeys and UI/UX designed to convert: onboarding, the core experience and the path to payment. Branding and logo if you are starting from zero.

  3. Development: native Swift & web

We build native Swift apps for iPhone and iPad, and complete web apps. No cross-platform compromises: the same stack that runs our own 8 apps in the App Store. (Android? Not yet.)

  4. App Store Connect & review

The whole launch process: App Store Connect setup, metadata, the review process and the rejections that can cost you weeks if you have not been through it before. We have, many times.

  5. Monetization & paywalls

Paywalls designed to convert and A/B tested until they do. Prices, trials, flows and placement are tested properly, and tracking is set up from day one, so decisions are made on data, not gut feeling.

  6. ASO: organic downloads

App Store optimization is our strongest card: keywords, title, screenshots that convert and continuous iteration. Our own Bikepacking app ranks #1 for its main keyword, fully organic.

  7. Performance marketing

Apple Search Ads at the core, plus Meta, Google and TikTok ads when the channel makes sense for your app. Campaigns run on the same tracking data as the rest of your growth.

  8. Creators & video

We source creators and influencers who fit your app. Full video production with creators and scripts is delivered through a trusted partner, the same setup behind the TikTok growth of our own apps.

What you get

Custom iOS app development, built to make money.

A custom iOS app is only worth building if people find it, keep using it and pay for it. That is why every project covers more than code:

  • A validated idea with a clear picture of the competition in the App Store.
  • Design that converts, from the first onboarding screen to the paywall.
  • A native Swift app that feels at home on iPhone and iPad.
  • A smooth App Store launch, including metadata and screenshots that sell.
  • Tracking from day one, so you know what users actually do.
  • A plan for growth: ASO, paid channels and creators when they make sense.

Your app can also get a website that ranks. dronkapp.com and unfollowcheck.com bring in thousands of visitors a month from Google, and a high share of Dronk's visitors go straight on to the App Store. Read more about SEO or web design.

Why us

What makes a small studio different from a big agency.

A large iOS app development company can put a team of ten on your project. We cannot, and we do not try to. What you get instead is someone who has shipped, launched and grown apps with his own money on the line, and who is directly involved in every decision.

That also means we say no to projects we do not believe in. If we cannot see how your app will find its users, we tell you before you spend anything. Read more about who we are.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

How much do iOS app development services cost?

It depends mostly on the number of features, whether users need accounts, and how many other systems the app has to talk to. We do not publish a price list, because two apps rarely cost the same. After a short call about your idea, you get a concrete estimate.

Do you build Android apps too?

Not yet. We build native iOS apps and web apps. Many founders start on iPhone, validate the idea with real users, and decide on Android afterwards, when they know what is worth building.

How long does it take to build an iPhone app?

Scope decides it. We would rather launch a focused first version early and let real usage decide the rest than spend months on features nobody asked for. You get a timeline together with the estimate.

Can a studio in Denmark work with US and UK clients?

Yes. All our work is remote, and we already work with clients in the US. Danish afternoons overlap with US mornings and the full UK workday, so calls are easy to schedule.

What happens after the app is live?

That is where most of the work starts. We can stay on for App Store optimization, paywall tests, ads and new features, or hand everything over to your own team. You decide.

Why native Swift instead of cross-platform?

Native apps feel right on iPhone, get new iOS features first and are easier to keep fast. For an app that has to earn good reviews and keep users coming back, that difference shows up in the numbers.
