Programmatic SEO. Hundreds of pages that each deserve to rank, built from data you already have.

Programmatic SEO means creating many pages from a template and a dataset, each one matched to a specific search. We are a small programmatic SEO agency that does it on our own products first: dronkapp.com has 200+ pages ranking in 13 languages on a domain that is about six months old.

Fit

When programmatic SEO works, and when it does not

It works when

  • People search for the same thing in many variations (service plus city, tool plus integration, product plus use case).
  • You have data that makes each page genuinely different: local details, specifications, prices, reviews, examples.
  • Each page can lead to a real action, such as a booking, a signup or a download.

It does not work when

  • The only difference between pages is a swapped keyword.
  • The pages exist to catch traffic but do not help the person who lands on them.
  • The site cannot serve thousands of pages quickly and cleanly.

We will tell you honestly if your idea falls in the second group. A handful of hand-written pages is sometimes the better investment.

Page patterns

Common programmatic SEO page types

Programmatic page patterns and what makes them useful
PatternExample searchWhat each page needs
Location pages"grant writer Atlanta"Local context, local proof, a real reason to be there
Integration pages"[tool] + Slack integration"What the integration does, setup, limits
Use-case pages"[product] for teachers"Specific problems and workflows for that audience
Comparison pages"[A] vs [B]"Honest feature and price differences
Multilingual variantsThe same need in 13 languagesNative keywords and phrasing per market

Location pages are the most common request, and the easiest to get wrong. For Simply Solutions, a US grant consultancy, we built pages around the cities their clients search from, such as Columbus, Atlanta and Miami, each with content specific to that search.

Approach

How we build programmatic SEO. Quality first, scale second.

  1. Find the repeatable search pattern

Programmatic SEO starts with a search people make in many variations: a service plus a city, a product plus a use case, a tool plus a language. No pattern, no project.

  2. Check that the data is worth a page

Each page needs something genuinely specific to say. If the only thing that changes between pages is the city name, the pages will not rank and should not be built.

  3. Design one great page, then the template

We write and design one example by hand until it is the best answer to its search. Only then does it become a template.

  4. Build fast, static and indexable

Pages are generated as plain, fast HTML with clean URLs, internal links between related pages and structured data. No page depends on scripts to show its content.

  5. Launch in batches and measure

We publish a first batch, watch how Google indexes and ranks it, and adjust the template before scaling up.

Why us

Why a small studio for a big page count

Programmatic SEO is part content strategy and part engineering. Most agencies are strong at one and outsource the other. We do both: keyword research, templates, writing and the static site that serves the pages. That keeps the pages fast, which matters more when you have thousands of them.

MediaVikings is based in Denmark and works remotely with clients in the US, UK and Europe. Before any build, you get keyword research that shows the size of the pattern, so you know what you are investing in. For multi-market projects, see international SEO.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

What is programmatic SEO?

Programmatic SEO is creating many pages from a template and a structured dataset, each targeting a specific search. Typical examples are location pages, integration pages, comparison pages and product variants. It works when each page has real, specific value for its search.

Does Google penalize programmatic pages?

Google does not penalize pages for being generated from a template. It does filter out pages that are thin, duplicated or made mainly to manipulate rankings. The test is simple: would the page be useful to someone who landed on it from search?

How many pages should we launch?

Fewer than you think, at first. A batch of 20-50 strong pages tells you whether the template works. Then you scale to hundreds or thousands if the data supports it.

Can programmatic SEO work in several languages?

Yes, and it is one of the most effective uses of it. dronkapp.com has 200+ pages ranking in 13 languages. Each language needs its own keyword research, not just translated templates. See international SEO.

Which platforms do you build programmatic SEO on?

We prefer static site generators that output plain HTML, because they are fast and easy for Google to crawl. We can also work with existing CMS setups when a migration is not an option.

What data do we need?

Anything structured and specific: locations you serve, products, integrations, use cases, prices, reviews, local facts. Often the data already exists in a spreadsheet or database and just has never been published.
